In these modern times, people in their prime years are obviously conscious about their physical appearance. They won’t like to be called “matanda na.” That is why we notice different brands of anti-aging supplements continue to sprout in the market as well as beauty products with anti-ageing properties. But one important thing we don’t know is that there is a natural way to make us stay young and live longer without spending a dime which is by eating less.

When you eat less, you get a number of benefits:

“If you don’t want to sentence yourself to a lifetime of hunger, how about a short fast? Periodic fasting is a safe and reliable way to slow the aging process and prevent disease. Studies show that animals that eat a regular diet while fasting for one day once a week live longer than mice that don’t.

When you fast, you melt fat for energy. Not only do you drop the excess weight, you get rid of all the toxins that your body stores in the excess fat. A new study shows this kind of fasting also reduces depression and improves your quality of life.

Fasting also helps your body make human growth hormone, along with other anti-aging hormones. This helps you to better use protein to repair cells, tissues and organs.

Here are a few tips:

a. Start with a simple 24-hour water fast. Don’t eat anything and drink plenty of clean water for a day. That’s it.

b. The next day when you break your fast, don’t eat a lot right away. Start slowly. Small amounts of fresh vegetables are your best bet. You can also start with a low glycemic load fruit like a grapefruit.

c. You can practice one-day fasts as often as every two weeks.

d. You can work and exercise while fasting.

e. If you have diabetes, kidney or liver disease, clear any fast with your doctor.”

How to stay young? Eat healthy preferably home-cook meals, no fast food, no soft drink...instead plenty of water. Its a natural moisturizer. Avoid pork and red meats. No need to pay a gym to exercise... at least walk 30 minutes a day.. free lang yan. Sa morning, have one slice of brown bread. Kung kaya eat once a day rice lang, one cup during lunch time. it will avoid you getting a big tummy. Sa gabi mag fruits na lang. And a simple exercise you can do any time, every-time you are standing up, do a stomach in. It will help your tummy muscles to be firm. And no junk foods....
